Mary Ellen Middleton

Mary Ellen Middleton, age 87 of Maryville, passed away Wednesday, April 2, 2025 at Parkwest Medical Center. Mary was a wonderful wife, mother, and grandmother. She was an Airforce wife who followed her husband overseas and across the country. After his retirement they came back to East Tennessee to be around their family. Mary attended Monte Vista Baptist Church and loved singing in the choir and working in the Mother’s Day Out program. She will be truly missed by her family and friends. Preceded in death by her parents, Bruner and Edna Moore and her husband, Benny Middleton. She is survived by her daughter, Sharon Cogburn of Knoxville; son and daughter-in-law, Curtis and Karen Middleton of Liberty, SC; grandchildren and spouses, Katie and Carey Black of Anderson, SC, Hannah and Zack Hayes of Myrtle Beach, SC, and Becca and Josh Calhoun of Easley, SC; great-grandchildren, Callaway Hayes of Myrtle Beach, SC, Keagan Elliot Hayes of Myrtle Beach, SC, Benji Dee Calhoun of Easley, SC, and Charlotte Ray Black of Anderson, SC; Brother and Sister-in-law, Charles and Sue Moore of Lenoir City, TN; sister, Alice Faye Campbell of Lenoir City, TN; cousins, Marge Cardin and Cathy Justice, both of Maryville, TN; and other family also. Family and friends will assemble at 1:00 PM on Tuesday, April 8, 2025 at Grandview Cemetery for the interment service and burial.
