Mary Alice Melton

Mary Alice Melton age 96 of Maryville passed away Sunday, July 31, 2011 at Brakebill Nursing Home. She was a member of Hendricks Chapel Primitive Baptist Church. Preceded in death by her husband, George Lee Melton; daughter, Bobbie Hembree; five sisters, and one brother. Survivors include her grandchildren, Jama and Ernie Conner of Knoxville and Michael and Beth Hembree of Maryville; great grandchildren, Amanda Palmer and Andrew Palmer both of Ft. Worth, TX, and Wesley Watson, Ariel Watson, and Alex Jones all of Maryville. Funeral service will be at 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, August 3, 2011 in the Smith Trinity Chapel with Rev. Jerry Garner and Pastor Bob Shultz officiating. Family and friends will assemble at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, August 4, 2011 at Grandview Cemetery for the interment. Family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Wednesday at Smith Funeral & Cremation Service, Maryville, 983-1000.
