Mary D. Marshall

Mary Dunlap Marshall, 82, left this life Sunday, April 7, 2013. Mary worked as a hairdresser until she retired. She was an active member of Piney Grove Baptist Church in Maryville, TN. She volunteered weekly with the children's bus ministry to provide breakfast. Mary loved her family and spending time with them. Her favorite was to spend time with her grandchildren at Dollywood. She was well known for her delicious meals and chocolate chip cookies. Mary enjoyed hiking with friends, quilting, and serving others. She truly loved her "Golden Girl" days with Pat Baker, Helen (Jean) Lawson, Ruth Barham, Debbie Harmon, and Diane Anderson. Preceded in death by: Husband of 64 years, Olin Gates Marshall; Parents, Jessie & Harvey Dunlap; Brother, Hugh (Bud) Dunlap. Survivors include: Daughter, Diane Marshall Anderson & husband Donald K. Anderson; Son, Rev. Gary Olin Marshall & wife Cindy Marshall; Grandchildren, Brad & Jennifer Anderson, Heather & Brooks Zweifel, Jesse & Jamie Marshall; Great-Grandchildren, Faythe Anderson, Savannah Anderson, Brady Anderson, Hannah Zweifel, and Ayden Zweifel; Sisters & Brother-in-law, Helen Lawson and Ruth & Alfred Barham. Mary was blessed with several wonderful nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be at 6:00 PM, Wednesday, April 10, 2013 at Smith Trinity Chapel with Rev. Chris Edmonds officiating.
