Mary Lafon

Mary Lafon age 84 of Townsend went to be with her Lord and her husband, Odell on Sunday, August 26, 2012 at the family home. She was a member of Tuckaleechee United Methodist Church in Townsend where she had previously taught Adult Sunday School and was very active in the United Methodist Women's Society. Preceded in death by her husband, Odell Lafon; parents; one sister; three brothers. Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Steve and Pat Lafon; daughter and son-in-law, Jean and Jerry Sullivan; grandchildren, Nick and Sabrina Lafon, Matt Lafon and fiancé, Megan Abbott, Jason and Melissa Sullivan, John and Tanya Sullivan, Jeffrey and Brittany Sullivan, Joseph Sullivan and fiancé, Mia Upton; great grandchildren, Leslie Lafon, Stormie Bailey, Claudia Ray, Cayden Smith, Jayden Sullivan, and Brady Sullivan; sisters, Dona Wissler and Jo Munsey. Funeral service will be at 3:00 p.m. Tuesday, August 28, 2012 in the Smith West Chapel with Rev. Christie Bane officiating. Interment will follow at Grandview Cemetery. Family will receive friends from 1:30 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. Tuesday at Smith Funeral Home, Maryville, 983-1000.
