Mary Ruth Humphrey

Mary Ruth Humphrey, age 84 of Maryville passed away peacefully Friday, December 19, 2014 at University of Tennessee Medical Center. Mary was retired from the University of Tennessee Medical Center where she had a successful career in the accounting department. Her most cherished job was that of a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was a member of Rocky Branch Missionary Baptist Church and a former volunteer at Blount Memorial Hospital. Preceded in death by: Husband, Homer F. Humphrey; Son, James Ronald (Ronnie) Miller; Daughter, Sandra (Sandy) Lowe; Sister, Evelyn Beeler. Survivors include: Daughter, Sandy Ballenger; Grandchildren, Paula Millsaps-Dearolf & Nancy, Eddie Millsaps & Marti, Terra Smyth & Cameron, Cheryl Webb & Eric, Nikita Miller, Michelle Schaffer, Lisa Abbott, Jeff Abbott; Great-grandchildren: Bryson & Raelee Webb, Carson & Ty Icenhower, Aleyah Smyth, Carolyn Lowe, Rowan Harper, Lexie & Alex Schaffer, Brandon & Allison Fowler; Brother, Douglas (Doug) Davis & Christine (Chris). Funeral service will be at 2:00 PM, Sunday, December 21, 2014 at Smith West Chapel. Family and friends will assemble for graveside service and interment at 3:00 PM, Sunday, December 21, 2014 at Grandview Cemetery.
