Mary Anna Hood

Mary Anna Hood, 94, of Maryville passed away Friday evening, Dec. 26, 2014, at Park West Medical Center in Knoxville. She was a school teacher in the Blount County School system for forty years. She is preceded in death by her husband, Max A. Hood and daughter, Mary E. Thomas. She is survived by her son, Max Ray Hood of Augusta, Georgia and daughter Martha Ann Justice of Knoxville, sisters Elizabeth Wheeler of Maryville and Josephine Edwards of Cleveland, TN, grandsons Jonathan D. Walker of Knoxville and Kevin A. Thomas of Maryville and four great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at Broadway Baptist Church in Maryville on Monday, Dec. 29. The family will receive friends from 1:00 -2:00 PM with memorial service beginning at 2:00. The Reverend Tony Collins will officiate. Interment to immediately follow at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church in Maryville.
