Mary Evelyn Wilhoite Foxx, age 78, born February 6, 1933 in Knoxville, Tennessee passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family on November 28, 2011 after a courageous battle with cancer. She was a life-long member of Piney Level Missionary Baptist Church. She served many years as the church pianist, and 42 years as the church clerk. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister. Preceded in death by: Parents, Hugh & Edna Wilhoite; Brothers, Mack Wilhoite and Perry Wilhoite. She is survived by: Husband of 56 years, Hix Foxx; Sons & Daughters-in-law, Allen & Kristi Foxx of Chattanooga, Darrell “Bo�? & Sandi Foxx of Maryville, and Michael Foxx of Dallas, TX; Daughter & Son-in-law, Rosemary Foxx Myers & Husband Mark; Grandchildren, Micah Myers & wife, Jill, Aaron Myers, Becca & Bethany Foxx, Molly Bledsoe, Lucas Bledsoe, Nicholas Foxx; Brothers, Ralph Wilhoite, Lynn Wilhoite & wife Sandy, Victor Wilhoite & wife Faye, David Wilhoite & wife Laura; Sisters, Anna Russell & husband Rex, Norma Solis & husband Tony, Sarah Russell & husband Gary, Nancy Garner & husband Kyle. Funeral service will be at 7:00 PM, Wednesday, November 30, 2011 at Smith Trinity Chapel with Rev. George Macht and Rev. Mark Myers officiating. Family and friends will meet at 10:15 AM, Thursday, December 1, 2011 at the funeral home to proceed to Piney Level Baptist Church Cemetery for the interment.
