Mary J. Baker

Mary Jane (Bennett) Baker age 69 of Maryville, passed away Tuesday, January 13, 2009 at Colonial Hills Nursing Center. She was a member of the Eastern Star in Columbus, KS and the Sweet Adeline's choral group in Houston, TX. She also was active with the Girl Scouts in Alvin, TX. She was a member of the CCC High School Marching Band that marched in the Eisenhower Inaugural parade in 1957. She was preceded in death by her parents, Homer & Mildred Bennett and brother, Charles Bennett. Survivors include her husband, Herbert H. Baker; son & daughter-in-law, Stewart & June Baker of Severn, MD; daughter & son-in-law, Alice & Kim Sheppard of Harvest, AL; 2 grandchildren; brother, Jim Bennett of St. Charles, MO. Memorial service will be 1:00 p.m. Saturday, January 17, 2009 at Smith's Chapel with Rev. Dodd Allee officiating.
