Melvin J. McClellan

Melvin McClellan, 86 of Maryville, went to be with the Lord on Monday February 13, 2023, at Blount Memorial Hospital. Melvin was a devout family man, husband, father, and grandfather. He spent most of his life working in road construction. He enjoyed gardening and taking care of his peach trees. Melvin and wife Betty were long time members of Friendsville First Baptist Church. Melvin is preceded in death by parents Kyle and Lona McClellan. He is survived by wife Betty McClellan, son John McClellan, son and daughter-in-law Jay and Diane McClellan, granddaughter and grandson-in-law Caytlin and Corey Cardwell, sister Marge Fugate, brother and sister-in-law J.K. and Bobbie McClellan, sister Pasty Neely, along with nieces and nephews. We especially want to thank DCI and BMH for the excellent care he received. Family and friends will assemble at 3:00 PM for a Graveside Service and Entombment Friday, February 17, 2023 at Grandview Mausoleum Chapel.
