Martha Cathryn Tipton, age 95, born in Cades Cove, TN in 1917, passed away Sunday, June 3, 2012 at Pavilion Nursing Home. She was preceded in death by: Husband, John Henderson Tipton; Parents, Mr. & Mrs. Cowan Russell. Survivors include: Son, Mayford C. Tipton Sr.; former daughter-in-law, Elfleeta Tipton New; grandchildren, Shelia R. Gibbs, John C. Tipton, Mayford C. Tipton, Jr., David L. Tipton, and James M. Tipton; various great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter; Sister, Gladys Fowler; Brother, Carl Russell.
