Mark P Himelright, of Maryville, passed away, Saturday, January 8, 2022 at the family home. Mark was born in Winchester, Virginia on February 8, 1955. Mark was the son of Dallas E. Himelright of Star Tannery, Virginia who preceded Mark in death in 2004, and Yvonne Fisher of Audubon, Iowa who now resides with her husband Charles in Springfield, Virginia. While growing up, Mark also lived in Center Line, Michigan and Arlington, Virginia. His adult life was lived in Tennessee - first in Memphis, then Whiteville, Jackson and finally Maryville. Mark was a master carpenter, doing custom work of all types, he was a true artist and master of his craft. Mark was an avid motorcycle rider and proud biker. He had a passion for cooking, and an even greater passion for eating. Mark was a movie aficionado his entire life. He was known by his family and friends as larger than life, a real charmer, intelligent and quick witted. Mark was the proud father of his cherished son Miller Himelright who resides in Maryville, TN. Mark is also survived by his sister Dianne Grannell, Annapolis MD; brothers David Ai Himelright (Cheryl), Eads TN; Craig Himelright (Tammy), San Diego CA; and sister Jana Panneton, Annapolis MD; as well as nine nieces and nephews and fourteen grand-nieces and nephews. There will be a celebration of Mark’s life on Saturday, February 5th, 2022, at the Life Event Center, located at 1404 Tuckaleechee Pike, Maryville, Tennessee 37803 between the hours of 3:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. Mark’s remains will be interned in the Himelright family cemetery in Star Tannery, Virginia in the Spring.
