Marjorie L. Roettger age 89 went to glory with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on Tuesday, May 16, 2017 at Blount Memorial Hospital. For the past 8 years, she resided in Seymour, TN. She was originally from Evansville, IN and she spent 34 years in Pearland, TX, prior to the move to Tennessee. She enjoyed being active and involved in her local church, Alcoa First United Methodist Church and for many years at First United Methodist Church in Pearland, TX. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, sister, grandmother and great-grandmother who will be missed by everyone who knew her. Preceded in death by: Parents, John & Dorothea Bumb; Husband, Melvin Kenneth Roettger; Grandson, Joshua Phipps; Brothers and Sister, John Bumb, Dorothy Helfert, and Daniel Bumb. Survivors include: Sons & Daughters-in-law, John & Ann Roettger of McCordsville, IN, Richard Roettger of Pearland, TX, Michael & Jana Roettger of Baton Rouge, LA, and Melvin & Donna Roettger of League City, TX; Daughter & Son-in-law, Carol & Bob Henry of Seymour; Grandchildren & Spouses, Todd Henry (Lisa), Robin Kennedy, Jennifer Roettger, Isabella Roettger, Lindsey Meals (Nick), Zackary Roettger (Katie), Cody Roettger, and Marc Roettger; 13 Great-Grandchildren; Brother & Sisters-in-law, Gilbert & Pat Bumb of St. Charles, MO; Sisters & Brothers-in-law, Mildred Barrett, Erlene & Bob Dreier, Agnes & Marlin Kissel all of Evansville, IN. Family will receive friends from 5:00 until 7:00 PM, Thursday, May 18, 2017 at Alcoa First United Methodist Church. Funeral service will be at 7:00 PM with Rev. Ty Harrison officiating.
