Marion Lee McClain, age 82, of Maryville, passed away Tuesday, Sept. 22, 2015 at Asbury Place. She was preceded in death by her husband, Earl William McClain; grandson - Earl Franklin McClain; father - David Dallas Riffey; sister, Flora Etta Leadbetter; brothers - David Dallas Riffey, Jr. and Jack Eugene Riffey. She is survived by her mother Christine Lucille Humphries Riffey (104 yrs); Sons - Earl Dennis McClain and wife Diane, Jeffrey Alan McClain, and Gregory Scott McClain and wife Linda. Grandchildren – Carrie Ann McClain, Dennise Diane McClain, Brad Alan McClain and wife Ashleigh, Christopher Scott McClain and wife Kari, Jeffrey Darren Nelson, Rebecca Nicole Maples and husband Josh; sisters Frances Virginia Stalsworth, Mary Ruth Moore, Hazel Marie Bennett, Edna Faye Newman, Ruby Jo Hitch. Great-grandchildren - Carmen, Christian, Emma, Elijah, Sara, Selena, and Pyper. Numerous nieces and nephews. Best friend – Betty Disney. Marion enjoyed nothing more than sharing her life with family and friends. Her family is grateful to the ‘angels’ at the Village in Asbury Place for their love, care and compassion for the past six years. Marion was a long-time member of Madison Avenue Baptist Church. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, September 25, 2015, at Smith Trinity Chapel with funeral at 7 p.m. Family and friends will meet Saturday, September 26, 2015, at Sherwood Memorial Gardens Chapel, Alcoa, for an 11 a.m. service, Rev. Glenn Cummings officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Samaritan Shoebox Ministry, in care of Madison Avenue Baptist Church, 1918 Madison Avenue, Maryville, TN 37804.
