Marilyn Hord Hicks

Marilyn Hord Hicks age 74 of Louisville passed away Wednesday, November 27, 2013 at Summitt View of Farragut. She was a member of Laurel Bank Baptist Church, Retired RN at UT Hospital after 34 years of service. Marilyn was always doing for others and taking care of people. She was an avid Vols and Braves fan and a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Preceded in death by: Parents, Howard & Ruby Hord; Former Husband & friend, James Lester Hicks; Brother, Keith Hord. Survivors include: Sons & Daughters-in-law, Tim & Leann Hicks and Greg Hicks & Fiancé, Alicia Goldsmith; Grandchildren, Chad & Angie Hicks and Beth & Grayson Wright; Great-Grandchildren, Jacob and Peyton; Brother & Sister-in-law, Alvin & Betty Hord; Sisters, Charlotte Counts and Vivian Hicks; several nieces and nephews and a host of special friends. Funeral service will be at 7:00 PM, Saturday, November 30, 2013 at Smith Trinity Chapel with Dr. Charles Bailey officiating.
