Marie was very dedicated to her faith and church, she volunteered to work in the nursery for 35 years at the First Baptist Church. She also traveled the country with her husband and friends with the church's Golden Agers Group. Even though Marie went many places and did many things, her proudest accomplishment remains to be raising her two sons Jeffery and Michael. She loves to spend time with her grandchildren Kaitlyn, Michelle, and Hannah who knew her as Nana and loved her so much. She put everything and anyone before herself and had the ability to make everyone smile. A year and a half ago Marie left Tennessee to be with her son Michael and his family in Washington State. After moving her health improved greatly and she was able to reconnect with family and friends via cards, letters, and even Facebook.
