Marguerite Miranda

Marguerite Miranda passed away on Tuesday, October 2, 2018 in Falls Church, VA. She was 90 years old and lived a long, fruitful life. She was born in Huntington, NY in 1927 but relocated with her husband, Joseph Miranda, to Savannah, GA in 1968 where they lived for 39 years. In 2007 they relocated to Maryville, TN. There her husband Joseph Miranda preceded her in death in 2014. Marguerite relocated to Falls Church, VA in 2017. Marguerite is survived by her two sons, Joseph and Ralph; her two daughters-in-law, Esperanza and Amy; granddaughters Andrea and Isabella and grandsons Joseph and Nathan. She is also survived by numerous cousins, nieces and nephews in Huntington, NY and by her husband’s family in San Giuseppe Visuviano, Italy. Marguerite was an interior decorator by trade serving numerous clients in New York and also in Savannah, GA. She was active in her church and in school activities for her children. She will be greatly missed by all whose lives she touched. Family will receive friends from 11:30 a.m. until 12:00 noon at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church in Alcoa, TN on Tuesday, October 9, 2018. Funeral Mass will be held at 12:00p.m. at the church with a private family burial service at Grandview Cemetery following the mass where she will be laid to rest beside her loving husband of 62 years.
