Margie Hodge Henry, 70, of Maryville, TN passed away on October 4, 2019 at Raintree Terrace in Knoxville, TN. Margie was born on October 3, 1949 to Woodrow Hodge and Robbie Lewis Hodge in Maryville, Tennessee. She graduated from Maryville High School in 1967. She married George Henry on March 17, 1969. She attended the University of Tennessee and later finished her degree at Northern Oklahoma College. She held positions at many organizations over the course of her life including Auburn University, the Blount County Chamber of Commerce and Industrial Board, and Mercury Marine in Stillwater, OK. Margie loved reading, going to the beach, playing piano, and sitting with her dogs. She volunteered at church and community events. She particularly enjoyed her years volunteering at the George H.W. Bush Presidential Library in College Station, Texas. She was a big believer in education, kindness, and faith. Margie loved her husband and best friend, George, and was proud of her children’s accomplishments and talents. She was a great hostess who made people feel welcome and comfortable. Margie is survived by her husband George; her daughter Kim Antonio and husband Dan, her daughter Joy Hogan and husband Ben, and her son Michael Henry and wife Haley; and her grandchildren Connor Antonio, Emma Antonio, Kylie Hogan, and Kelsey Hogan. The family will receive friends on Monday, October 7, 2019 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00p.m. at Smith Funeral & Cremation Service. Family and friends will assemble for graveside service and interment at Sherwood Memorial Gardens on Tuesday, October 8, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. with Don Thompson officiating.
