Mack M. DeMarcus

Mack M. DeMarcus, age 78, passed away peacefully on Monday, March 6, 2017 with his family by his side. Mack was born May 14, 1938, in Union County, TN. In 1956 he married the love of his life JoAnn and never left her side for any extended period of time until his passing. He retired from the City of Miami as the Superintendent over the city garage in 1986 and also served as a Past Master of Miami Temple Masonic Lodge. Upon retiring, he and JoAnn moved back to Tennessee to be closer to their family. He had a special gift for making everyone he met feel part of his family. All those who knew him were the better for it and he will truly be missed as he touched so many lives over the years. He was preceded in death by: Father, James; Mother, Ethel; Brothers, James, Don, and Lonnie DeMarcus. He is survived by; Loving Wife of 60 years, JoAnn (before her passing on March 26, 2017); Sons, Jeff DeMarcus & wife Susan and Mike DeMarcus & wife Rhonda; Daughter, Lisa Jones & husband Todd; six grandchildren; one great-grandchild; Sisters, Barbara Miller, Sue Miller, and Patricia Shipman; numerous nieces and nephews. Family will receive friends from 12:00 until 1:30 PM, Saturday, April 1, 2017 at Smith Trinity Chapel. A memorial service will be at 1:30 PM.
