Mabel I. Pendley

Mabel I. Headrick Pendley, age 91, was born June 13, 1925, in Walland, TN to Charles and Mary Mitchell Headrick. She passed away on September 18, 2016 at Asbury Place of Maryville. She never met a stranger and treated everyone like family – and once you were family, you were always family to Mabel. You would be offered a meal or a snack and she would always ask, “Did you get enough to eat?” She loved working in her yard and at one time had almost every variety of irises there were. Preceded in death by: Parents; Husband, Floyd F. Pendley; Son, David E. Pendley; Grandson, Jason Pendley; Brothers, Charles Headrick and Paul Headrick. Survivors include: Daughter, Beverly Pendley Clark; Son, Don (Katrina) Pendley; Grandchildren, Michelle Clark (Anthony) Reagan, Brandon Clark, Donnie (Cyndi) Pendley, Derrick (Marisol) Pendley, and Stephanie Pendley (Adam) Paul; Great-Grandchildren, Ty (Whitney) Clark, Haley Reagan, Julie Reagan, Zack Pendley, Haven Pendley, Summer Pendley, and Scarlett Hanover; Brothers, Wade (Barbara) Headrick of McDonough, GA and Fred (Virginia) Headrick; Sister, Winona Wade. Special thanks to the staff of Asbury Place of Maryville for the wonderful care and compassion shown to Mabel and to the family, especially those on 1 North. Family will receive friends from 5:30 until 7:00 PM, Wednesday, September 21, 2016 at Smith Trinity Chapel. Funeral service will be at 7:00 PM with Rev. James Lawhorn officiating.
