Lynn Russell Cox, 81, of Knoxville, passed away on Thursday, October 9, 2014. He was a retired member of the United States Air Force and served at various locations worldwide for 26 years. After retiring from the Air Force, he began his second career with The Heil Company in Athens, TN, retiring in 2001. He was preceded in death by: Father, Fred Cox; Mother, Evelyn Cox; First Wife, Carol Cox; Son, Tom Cox. Russ is survived by: Loving and Devoted Wife of 22 years, Wanda Davis Cox; Sisters, Carole Sennett & husband Bill of Alcoa, TN, JoAnn Utley & husband Roger of Little Rock, AR; Sisters-in-law, Betty Sue Garner of Louisville, TN, Donna Hardwick & husband Jerry of Louisville, TN; Brother-in-law, Mike Davis & wife Robin of Louisville, TN; Granddaughter, Tiffany Cox of Oklahoma City, OK; Other special family member, Roddy & Julie Rogers, Hank, Sarah, John & Will Sennett, Steve Sennett & Karen Rezek and Ethan & Evan, Scott & Kathy Utley, Lewis, Karen, Kate, Hope and Alex Richey, Chuck, Kelli, Anna Katherine, and Maggie Biggs, Kent & Dawn Thomas, Keith, Julie, Cristina, Lydia, Sara Beth, David, and Josiah Thomas, Grace & Denham Hall, David & Darlene Biggs, Christopher Hardwick, Elizabeth Hardwick, Scott, Tina, and Brandon Nolte. A Celebration of Life will be held at 6:00 PM, Tuesday, October 14, 2014 at Cedar Springs Presbyterian Church, 9132 Kingston Pike, Knoxville, TN 37923. Interment will be at 11:00 AM, Friday, October 17, 2014 at Sherwood Memorial Gardens.
