Lydia Maria Rodriguez Upchurch Davis, aged 88 was taken from this life into the next to forever rejoice. Lydia, residing in Maryville, Tennessee, passed Thursday, June 19, 2014 after a long struggle with Alzheimer's. Lydia was born January 20, 1926 in Patillas, Puerto Rico to Angelo and Mary Pena Rodriguez. She spent her formative years in Manhattan, New York where she met and married Clay Frances Upchurch of Forbus, Tennessee and relocated to his family home. She was an excellent homemaker and gardener as well as cafeteria chef for Pall Mall elementary school where Clay was teacher and principal. After Clay's passing, she later married Glen Davis and resided with him in Livingston, Tennessee. She is survived by her daughters Diana Talley (wife of Thomas Talley), and Debra Kriese, grandchildren Lynn Talley, Michael Talley, Matthew Talley, Clay Kriese, Adam Kriese, John Kriese, great grandsons Rowan Talley, Holden Kriese, and Miles Kriese and many other family members and friends.
