Luna Owens Heck

Luna Owens Heck; age 84, of Maryville, went home to be united with her loving husband and her Lord and Savior on Saturday, August 1, 2009 surrounded by her family at her home. She was a member of Davis Creek Primitive Baptist Church in Speedwell, TN. She was truly a devoted wife, loving mother, and her grandchildren were the love of her life. She will be deeply loved and missed by all who knew her. She is preceded in death by her parents, James and Martha Owens, her husband Clayton Heck Sr., infant granddaughter, and her sisters and brothers, Loula Belle Hopper, Daily Breeden, Mary Jane Cawood, Hattie Edwards, Eva Hunter, Rachel Lambert, Jake Owens, Mack Owens, Sherman Owens, Donna Clauson, and Lassie Mayes; Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Roy C. Heck Jr. and wife, Sharon of Seymour; Daughter and son-in-law, Jean and Victor McClanahan of Maryville; Grandchildren and their spouses, Hollie and Tim Hissam of Knoxville, Brad and Tabatha DeLozier of Alcoa, and Victor McClanahan Jr. and wife, Leigh Anne of Seymour; Sister, Ruby Hopper; Sister-in-law, Ruby Owens, both of Speedwell; and numerous nieces and nephews. The family would like to extend thanks to her very special friends and caregivers, Laverne Ogle, Billie Miller, and Katherine Zehner. Funeral services will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 4, 2009 in the Smith Trinity Chapel with her nephew, Rev. Robert Owens officiating. Family and friends will assemble at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, August 5, 2009 at the Grandview Mausoleum Chapel for the Entombment service.
