Luanne D. Dagley

Luanne D. Dagley, age 61, passed away on July 29, 2017 at home surrounded by her loved ones. It is with a heavy heart that this family informs you that she lost her long battle with cancer. She was loved very much and will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Luanne was born June 25, 1956 in Lewisburg, TN. She was a graduate of the University of Tennessee and received her Master’s degree in history specializing in Western Civilization. After graduation she worked at the University of Tennessee and ultimately served more than 25 years as a full time faculty member at Pellissippi State Community College in Knoxville, TN. Luanne’s life and passion was teaching. She loved to share her knowledge with her students. She also loved nature and gardening, friends and her dear pets Gabi, Otto, and Minka. Left to cherish Luanne’s memory are her spouse Ulli Sczesni, Aunts Fay Israel, Georgia and Elaine Tate and her husband Jerry, Lewisburg TN, and her cousins, as well as many of her co-workers at Pellissippi State. She also touched many other hearts. Our gratitude also goes out to Dr. Hanna, Dr. Rathfoot, as well as their staffs, UT Hospice, and First Light of Maryville. We thank everybody very much for the kindness and help they gave to Luanne during her final battle with cancer.
