Lowell Carl Hamby

Lowell C. Hamby age 69 of Maryville passed away Monday, December 5, 2016 at Blount Memorial Hospital. He was retired from Alcoa Aluminum Co. and a business entrepreneur. He was a US Army Veteran and was awarded the National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal and the Vietnam Campaign Medal. He was preceded in death by his parents Emerson & Lucile Hamby, daughter, Carla Hamby, brothers, Ronnie & Clayton Hamby, sister, Linda Robinson. Survivors include his wife, Brenda Hamby; daughters, Marcey Moore and Kristi Brown; son, George Hamby; stepsons, Scott & Shawn Sammons; several grandchildren, nieces & nephews; sisters & brothers-in-law, Peggy & Jim McKee, RoseMary & Dale Ott, Kathy & Steve McKee, Libby & Darrell Huskey; brothers & sister-in-law, Steve & Freda Hamby, Dan Hamby all of Maryville; Charlie Hamby & Jackie of Myrtle Beach, SC. The family will receive friends 5:00 until 7:00 pm Thursday, December 8, 2016 at Smith Trinity Chapel. Funeral service will follow at 7pm with Pastor Donnie Morton officiating. The family & friends will assemble at 1:00pm Friday at Grandview Cemetery for interment with military honors.
