Lorain Thurman age 84 of Alcoa passed away on Sunday, May 26, 2019 at UT Medical Center. The greatest desire was that everyone know Christ. She was one prayer warrior, spiritual support, and loved each of her children, their spouses, her grandchildren and their spouses, and her great-grandchildren with the deepest love of Christ. She leaves a tremendous spiritual legacy. Lorain was a longtime member of Alcoa First Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, Dennis and Bea Leonard; sisters, Janet Bryant, Mary Lawson. Survived by husband of 64 years, Fred Thurman; sons and daughters-in-law, Rick and Karen Thurman, Dennis and Janet Thurman; daughter and son-in-law, Sandra and Bob Hollifield; grandchildren, Heather and Michael Bradburn, Andrew and Jill Thurman, Megan and Brandon Barnes, Jacob Thurman, Hannah and Tyler McLean, Matthew and Emily Hollifield, Sarah Thurman; great-grandchildren, Brenton, Thatcher, Landry, Solah, McKinley, Teagan, and Hudson; brother, Theron Leonard; sister, Barbara Green.
