Lonna R. Davis Treadway

Lonna R. Davis Treadway, age 76 of Maryville, TN passed away on Monday, December 18, 2023 at her home.  Lonna was born on July 31, 1947 to Lewis William Davis and Nina Pauline Cruze Davis. She grew up in Knoxville, TN where she graduated from Fulton High School in 1965. After graduating, she worked for Ron Warwick Photography as a retouch artist and portrait painter until her retirement. In 1971, she married the love of her life, George Treadway. They enjoyed a wonderful life together traveling the world and going on numerous cruises until his death in 2020. As a member of the Eastern Star, Lonna believed in community involvement. Because of this philosophy, Lonna was a fierce children’s advocate and engaged in many programs to benefit children. She was a foster parent, worked with Pack 285 of the Cub/Boy Scouts, taught photography at Fulton High School and was involved with the Baby Rockers newborn program at Children’s Hospital. In 1983, she considered it an honor to be selected as Blount County Mother of the Year by the Daily Times. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, George Treadway; parents, Lewis and Pauline Davis; brothers, Marvin L. Davis and Tommy Davis; son, Christopher Treadway; daughter, Rebecca Treadway. She is survived by her daughter, Katheryn “Kathy” Treadway and a host of friends who became her family through years of friendship, support, and love.  Family and friends will gather for a visitation from 5:00 PM until 6:00 PM on Thursday, January 4, 2024 at Smith’s Trinity Chapel with a service to follow at 6:00 PM officiated by Brother Jamie Peabody.
