Lola (Dodie) Newman Fogleman, age 91 of Maryville passed away Saturday June 1, 2013 at Wellington Place. She was a member of Central Baptist Church in Alcoa. She was born in Tellico Plains and raised in Alcoa, TN. Lola moved to Washington D.C. in 1941 when she married George Fogleman and moved back to Tennessee in 1992. She was preceded in death by her husband, George Fogleman; father and mother, Oscar and Kitty Newman; brothers, Harold, James, Johnnie, and Buck Newman; sisters; Kate Hancock and Christine Miller. Survivors include; children, Don and wife Carolyn White Fogleman, Steve and wife Cindy Folgleman, Vickie and husband Roger Barfield and Lynn Apperson; sisters-in-law, Jule Newman, Jackie Newman, and; brother-in-law, James and wife Jean Fogleman. She has 10 grandchildren, 2 step grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, 4 step great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. The family appreciates the love, respect and care that the staff of Wellington Place in Maryville gave our mother over the last eight years. Family will receive friends from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm, Monday, June 3, 2013 in the Smith West Chapel with the funeral service to follow at 7:00 pm with Rev. Greg Kelly and Rev.
