Lois Ann Orr

Lois Ann Orr, 76, of Maryville, TN went to be with the Lord December 3, 2022 in the secure love of her family at her home. 

Lois was born February 27, 1946 in Andrews, NC to Claude and Bertie White.  She graduated from Andrews High School where she was voted Most Athletic.

Lois left Andrews with the intention of having a career with the FBI in Quantico, VA where a job was waiting, but decided to be a telephone operator with Ma Bell.

Lois met and married Duane Orr in Virginia in 1967.  She proudly served with her husband as a military wife and mother for 23 years.  Upon retirement the family moved to Anchorage, AK where they built a bakery business, Mrs. Cinnabun’s Famous Alaskan Cinnamon Rolls.  Upon selling the business, Lois and her husband moved to Maryville, TN and built their retirement home.

Lois loved the First Apostolic Church of Maryville and was a faithful member since moving to Maryville in 1995.

Lois is survived by her husband of 54 years, Duane Orr, Sr.; children, Duane Orr, Jr. & wife Sandra and Rebecca Long & husband Kyle; 8 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; brothers, Claude White Jr., James White & wife Thu, and Jerry White & wife Ann; sister, Louise Williams & husband Rick. 

Family will receive friends from 12:00 until 1:00 PM, Thursday, December 8, 2022 at First Apostolic Church Maryville.  Funeral service will be at 1:00 PM with Rev.
