Lois Wilma Metcalf

Lois Wilma Satterfield Metcalf, born in Knoxville, TN on June 9, 1931, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, August 13, 2015 at their South Carolina home. She was a member of Madison Avenue Baptist Church in Maryville. She was a graduate of Valley Springs High School in 1950 in Arden, NC. Lois enjoyed traveling, being a homemaker, singing in the choir at church, being a mother and a wife. She worked at ETMA Federal Credit Union as a loan officer for approximately 40 years. Preceded in death by: Father & Mother, Authur Lee Satterfield and Ruth Bridges Satterfield; Brothers, Edgar L. Satterfield and Buster T. Satterfield. Survivors include: Husband of 61 years, Maurice Leonard Metcalf; Daughters, Susan Metcalf Harrison, Deborah Metcalf-Painter, and Cheri Metcalf Phillips; Grandchildren, Brandon Douglas Garner, Lyndsie Harrison Franklin & her husband Nathan Charles Franklin, and Darriane Cash, Cheria Wood & husband Kevin Wood; Great-Grandchildren, Ella Grace Franklin, Nora Taylor Franklin, Kaitlyn Wood, Ashley Wood, and Serenity Wood; Sisters, Glenna S. Moye and Retha Hill. Funeral service will be at 7:00 p.m. Sunday, August 16, 2015 in the Smith Trinity Chapel with Dr. Glenn Cummings officiating. Family and friends will assemble at 11:00 a.m. Monday, August 17, 2015 at Grandview Cemetery for the interment.
