Linda McCamant

Linda R. McCamant, age 68, passed away peacefully on 3.14.2018. She fought a short but brave battle with cancer with family by her side the entire time. She enjoyed her career at Oak Ridge Associated Universities, where she worked for 35 years. She loved visiting Disney World where she enjoyed some of her happiest memories with family and friends. She loved to collect angels and took pride in her large angel displays. Linda was preceded in death by her parents Avis and Stanley Anderson. She is survived by a loving family: her twin sister Donna (Bill), Sister Debbie (Robert), Brother David (Tonya), nieces and nephews Ryan, Amy, Brent, Jennifer, Ashley, Leslie, Ethan, Nathan, and Audrey, as well as two great nieces Elsa and Emery who lovingly called her Aunt Grandma. She is also survived by her Aunt Norma and Uncle Frank and their loving family. She leaves behind an amazing family of friends and coworkers she loved and cherished. The family would like to thank the staff of Fort Sanders Regional Medical for their care in her final days. Linda will be forever missed by her family but we are thankful that her passing has been full of peace and love. The family will receive friends Saturday, March 17, 2018 from 11am to 1pm at Smith Funeral & Cremation Service in Maryville, TN. A private family service will be held at a later date.
