Lila L. Sommers

Lila L. Sommers, age 86 of Maryville, passed away Wednesday, August 3, 2022. Lila was born and raised in Martins Ferry, OH. She and Ron moved to Vancouver, WA in 1967 where they raise their young family. They resided in Clark County until 2019, when they moved to eastern TN to be closer to family. Lila enjoyed the wildlife around their home and was especially passionate about caring for the visiting birds. She also enjoyed growing herbs and flowers well into her later years. Preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Ronald L. Sommers, on February 23, 2021. Left behind her sons & daughters-in-law, Christopher & Michelle Sommers and Stephen & Tammy Sommers; daughter, Susan Wilkinson; grandchildren, Peggy Shiras, Boone, and Braxton Sommers; great-grandchildren, Avery Rose and Hanna Lynn Shiras; special caregivers who have brought much joy to her life, Sheila, Stephanie, Stacey, Susie, Bonnie and Nina.
