Louie Eggers crossed over Sunday, January 7, 2024 to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Preceded by his precious daughter, Pam Eggers and parents, LB and Marie Eggers. Louie leaves behind wife, Nancy Eggers; daughter, Jami Eggers; grandson, Logan and Baily Clark; great-grandchildren, Willow, Cason, and Ivan; grandson, Josh Ledbetter; cousin, Susan Johnson, and many cousins in California; special friend and "surrogate son", Thomas "Bones" Willocks. Louie taught at Heritage High Vocational Machine Shop for 20 years. He was also the Heritage Mountaineers Girls Softball Coach from 1985 - 1996 where he led his team to District IV Championships and first ever State Championship in 1991. Louie was awarded Coach of the Year Class AAA 1990. He loved his Oak Springs Farm where friends were always welcome to stop by. Louie was a friend to all. Beloved by his family, many friends and former students. A man of many talents. In lieu of flowers the family request donations in memory of Louie to St Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105. Family will receive friends from 12:00 until 2:00 PM Saturday, January 20, 2024 at Smith West Chapel. Celebration of Life will be at 2:00 PM with Rev. Brian Inman officiating.
