Lewis G. “Mr. Lou�? Lang age 79 of Maryville went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, December 16, 2010 at Blount Memorial Hospital. He was a member of Grandview Baptist Church and a Retired Air Traffic Controller with McGhee Tyson. Lewis was a Veteran of the United States Air Force and an avid Maryville Rebel Fan. He was a wonderful husband, father, and grandfather and will be deeply missed by all who knew him. Preceded in death by: Parents, Herman & Thelma Lang and Sister, Willie Hartley. Survivors include: Wife of 49 years, Carolyn Lang; Sons & Daughters-in-law, Scott & Kim Lang of Murfreesboro, Todd & Tracy Lang of Maryville, and Chris & Ruth Lang of Collierville; Grandchildren, Morgan & Julianne Lang of Murfreesboro, Haley & Kyler Lang of Maryville, and Dominic Lang of Collierville; Brother, Sidney Lang of Kansas; Sister, Nita Knobbe & husband Gene of Florida; many nieces, nephews, and other family members. Funeral service will be at 7:30 PM, Monday, December 20, 2010 at Smith Trinity Chapel with Rev. Terry Russell and Rev. Byron Gibson officiating. Interment will be at 11:00 AM, Tuesday, December 21, 2010 at Grandview Cemetery. Family will receive friends from 6:00 until 7:30 PM, Monday, December 20, 2010 at Smith Trinity Chapel.
