Leslie John Howard Harris, age 78 of Maryville, TN passed away on Wednesday, January 29th, 2020 at The University of Tennessee Medical Center. John was a member of First Baptist Church of Maryville, a Mason for 49 years, and Past Master of Solar Masonic Lodge #734 in Anderson, IN. John worked in sales and was an engineer with the guide division of General Motors Company for 18 years. He enjoyed photography and was a member of the Smoky Mountain Ham Radio Club of Alcoa, TN. John was preceded in death by his parents, Rev. Leslie J. E. Harris and Edith Ruth Houk Harris. Survivors include his wife, Norma Lynn Harris; sister D. Ruth Hutson (Jerry) of Kingsport, TN; cousin, Dot Mills (Pete); brother-in-law, Norman Goldman (Gina) of Knoxville, TN; sister-in-law, Peggy Payne of Piney Flats, TN; many nieces and nephews, great-nieces and nephews, and great-great nieces and nephews; cousin, Jan Cooper; friends, Tony Canaday (Anita) of Anderson, IN, Gil Shults (Betty) of Northville, MI, Randy Baker (Marilyn) of Daleville, IN; Masonic Brothers of Solar Lodge 734 in Anderson, IN. The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM on Saturday, February 8th, 2020. A Masonic Service will take place at 2:00 PM in Smith’s Trinity Chapel. Family and friends will assemble at Grandview Pavilion and Legacy Trail, 2316 Graves Road, Maryville, TN 37803 for an inurnment service at 3:00 PM on Saturday, February 8, 2020 officiated by Dr. Bill Booth and Rev.
