Leonard G. Allmon age 83 of Louisville passed away Friday, March 11, 2016 at the University Of Tennessee Hospital. He was a member of St. Mark’s United Methodist Church in Louisville. Leonard was a Veteran of the United States Army where he was a member of the Honor Guard. He retired from the University of Tennessee Purchasing Department with over 30 years of service. An avid outdoorsman, he loved four-wheeling, hunting, target practice, wood working, and his pets. He enjoyed the time he spent as a volunteer at Middlesettlements Elementary School. Preceded in death by his parents, Thomas and Anna Allmon; brother, Wiley Allmon; sister, Sue Biggs. Survivors include his beloved wife, Betty Lou Glandon Allmon; daughter and son-in-law, Katherine (Kitty) and Bill VanDuser of Knoxville; step-daughter, Beth Orozco and fiancé, Mark Barnard both of Tampa, FL; Sister-in-law, Mildred Allmon, and Brother-in-law, Glenn Bigg Jr.; grandsons, Grayson Kirkland, and William G. VanDuser and fiancée, Shea Webber; nieces, Wylene Vrba and husband Joe, Laura Thompson and husband, Keith, and Beth Allmon; nephew, Glenn Biggs, Jr. Family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 16, 2016 in the Smith Trinity Chapel.
