Leon D. Kelley

Leon D. Kelley age 63 of Maryville went to meet his Heavenly Father Wednesday, June 20, 2012 after an ultimate courageous battle surrounded by his family. He was an extreme car enthusiast, loving husband, father, grandfather and friend to all that knew him. Leon will be greatly missed by everyone. He was born February 2, 1949 to the late Rev. Max & Katherine Kelley. Preceded in death by: Grandparents, Claude & Maude Kelley & Robert & Mentha Stinnett. Survivors include: Loving wife of 43 years, Retha Kelley; Son, Dexter Kelley; Daughters and Sons-in-law, Krista & Dinney Cooper and Teresa & Pete Cooper; Grandchildren, Josh Anderson, Daniel Kelley, Kyra Huskey, Sierra Kelley, and Nathaniel Kelley; Sister, Sue and the late, Jim Barker; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. The family would like to thank Dr. Trudell and the staff at Coleman Neurological Center and Dr. Shalaby. Funeral service will be at 7:30 PM, Monday, June 25, 2012 at Smith Trinity Chapel with Rev. Roy Kelley officiating. Interment will be at 9:30 AM, Tuesday, June 26, 2012 at Bethel Baptist Church in Townsend.
