Lawrence M. Larry Hodge

Lawrence M. “Larry�? Hodge age 74 of Maryville passed away at 7:40 AM, Wednesday, January 19, 2011 at Colonial Hills Healthcare Center. Larry was a member of Monte Vista Baptist Church. He retired from the Department of Transportation after 40 years as a supervisor with the Materials & Test Division. Larry’s favorite hobby was listening to gospel music. He was a member of New Providence Masonic Lodge #128 F.& A.M. and a 32 degree Mason. Preceded in death by: Parents, Betty Gilbert Hodge & Ben C. Hodge. Larry is survived by his Wife of 52 years, Sue Carrol Hodge; Son & Daughter-in-law, Lawrence “Hank�? & Julie Hodge of Knoxville. In addition Larry is survived by his 2 precious grandchildren Conner & Caitlyn Hodge who he loved more than anything in the world. Other survivors include: Brother & Sister-in-law, Jerry & Lynn Hodge of Louisville; Sister-in-law, Beverly A. Raulston; Brother-in-law & wife, Tom & Kay Belcher; Nieces, Shelby Garland, Jamie Parton, Teresa Hurt, and Beth Pyle; Nephews, Dave Hodge and Scott Raulston. Family will receive friends from 5:00 until 7:00 PM, Friday, January 21, 2011 with funeral service to follow at 7:00 PM, at Smith West Chapel with Rev. Bob Dalton officiating. The family will gather at Bethel Cemetery in Townsend at 1:00 PM, Saturday, January 22, 2011 for the interment.
