Lawrence Allen Gorley age 77 of Maryville passed away Thursday, December 16, 2010 at Blount Memorial Hospital. He was a member of Fairview United Methodist Church and a Veteran of the U.S. Army. Preceded in death by: Parents, Thomas & Helen Gorley; Brothers, Hugh A. & Thomas S. Gorley; Son, Charles Edward Gorley; Sister, Caroline Freiburg. Survivors include: Wife, Carol Gorley; Son, James Allen Gorley of Maryville; Daughter & Son-in-law, Cheryl Ann & Mark Wenzel of MO; Grandchildren, Nicholas Gorley & wife Danielle and Kristen Williams & husband Scott; Great-Grandchildren, Lucas & Brooklyn Gorley; Sister-in-law, Dianne Johnson of Savannah, GA. Funeral service will be at 11:00 am, Monday, December 20, 2010 at Smith West Chapel with Dr. Jerry Russell officiating. Interment will follow at Grandview Cemetery.
