Larry E. (Pedro) Myers

Larry E. (Pedro) Myers age 76 of Maryville passed away Monday, July 21, 2014 at home. He was a member of Mt. Lebanon Baptist Church. Larry was a graduate of Porter High School as an accomplished athlete of three sports. He was All-County Football with Maryville College and joined the Air National Guard where he received commendation helping with the Berlin Airdrop for food behind the Berlin Wall. He retired from Levi's Corp. after many years of service. He married Wanda Faye Myers his wife of 39 years who passed away in 2003. Preceded in death by: Parents, Elmer & Bonnie Myers; Brother, Tony Joe Myers; Sisters, Becky Myers and Jane Myers. Survivors include: Son, Mark Christopher Myers; Grandchildren, Cameron Myers and Landon Myers both of Maryville; Daughter-in-law, Kerri Myers; Brother, Michael George Myers of Knoxville; Sisters, Jerry Lynn Myers of Alcoa, Laurie Myers Williams of Maryville, Lisa S. Myers of Louisville, and Pagi Campbell Branaum of Knoxville; Special friend & Companion, Donna Smith and very special pet, Jake; many nieces, nephews, and other family. Funeral service will be at 7:00 PM, Thursday, July 24, 2014 at Smith West Chapel with Rev. Henry Linginfelter officiating. Entombment will be at 1:00 PM, Friday, July 25, 2014 at Grandview Cemetery.
