Beason, Genette Lodie of Maryville passed away Wednesday, January 3, 2007 at Blount Memorial Hospital. She was a longtime member of Brantley's Chapel Primitive Baptist Church. Preceded in death by: Husband of 41 years, Von Beason; Parents, Mr. & Mrs. John Cummings Berry; Brothers, Clifford and Cecil Berry. Survivors include: Daughters and Sons-in-law, Barbara & Len Smolinski of Lutz, Florida, Carolyn & John Stapleton of Maryville, and Peggy & Hank Pack of Fayetteville, Georgia; Sons and Daughters-in-law, David & Shirley Beason, Glenn & Brenda Beason, and Bill & Kay Beason all of Maryville; Special Sister & Brother-in-law, Mamie & Wayne Brantley of Maryville; Special Brother and Sister-in-law, Corum & Twila Berry of Maryville. Mother loved her big family and was very proud of them. She has 16 grandchildren and 30 great-grandchildren. She has several nieces and nephews and a very special niece, Shirley Kay Brantley and good friend, Donna Pack. The family wishes to express special thanks to the staff of Asbury Place and a special thanks to the staff at Blount Memorial, the Hospice staff and Dr. Catron. Funeral service will be at 11:00 AM, Saturday, January 6, 2007 at Brantley's Chapel Primitive Baptist Church with Rev. Lawrence Adams, Rev. Curtis Stapleton, Rev. Chester Hembree, and Rev. DC Brantley officiating. Interment will follow at the church cemetery. Pallbearers will be: Robbie Beason, Billy Beason, Keith Johnson, Scott Johnson, Kelly Beason, Zeb Beason, Vaughn Beason, Bryan Beason, and Preston Pack. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to: Brantley's Chapel Primitive Baptist Church, c/o Cyrus McBee, 2053 Independence Drive, Maryville, TN 37801.
