Kenneth D. Halvorsen

Kenneth D. Halvorsen age 71 of Louisville, passed away Monday, July 02, 2012 at the family home. He was a Veteran of the United States Marine Corp and was active from 1962 to 1966 during the Vietnam Era. He was of the Protestant Faith. Kenneth retired from United Food & Commercial Workers as a butcher for over 40 years. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved to fish and hunt. He was preceded in death by his parents, Eugene & Gertrude Halvorsen and brother, Raymond Halvorsen. Survivors include: Loving & Devoted Wife of 44 years, Connie Halvorsen; Daughter, Donna Halvorsen; Granddaughter, Monica Halvorsen; Brothers, Richard Halvorsen & wife, Barbara, Eugene Halvorsen & wife, Marie, John Halvorsen & wife, Diane, Bill Halvorsen, and Scott Halvorsen; Sisters, Beverly Schramm, Carolyn Scott; Brothers-in-law & Sisters-in-law, Carmella Guardi & husband, John, Mike DiSalvo & wife Marie, Pat DiSalvo & wife Trina, and Mary Sarenac & husband Ralph; many nieces, nephews, and other family also survive. Funeral service will be at 7:00 PM, Thursday, July 5, 2012 at Smith Trinity Chapel with Rev. Larry Teaster officiating. Family and friends will assemble for interment at 9:30 AM, Friday, July 6, 2012 at East Tennessee Veterans Cemetery in Knoxville.
