Kathy Shirlene Akins age 48 went to be with the Lord, January 13, 2010. She was a loving mother, nana, mother-in-law, daughter & sister. Preceded in death by: Father, Shirley Lee Smith; Sister, Sandra Hunt. Survivors include: Daughter, Alisha Brown; Son, Chad Akins; Granddaughter, Haleigh Brown; Daughter-in-law, Whitney Akins; Son-in-law, Chad Brown; Mother, Lillian Brewster; Stepfather, Ronnie Brewster; Sister, Debbie Houser; Brothers, Steve Smith, Michael Smith, Chris Smith; Fiancé, Barry Best.
