Kathryn T. Michael

Kathryn T. Michael, age 79 of Maryville, TN, passed away peacefully Monday, December 11, 2023 surrounded by family and friends. Known affectionately as "Grammy," she was born in Milwaukee, WI to Mary and William Bell. Kathy was beloved by her stepmother, Bernice and was the youngest of four sisters, Judy Walczak and husband Jim, Ginny Keagan and husband Charlie, and Barbara Badura.  Preceded in death by her parents; husband, Henry Michael II. She retired from the Village of Hampshire, IL, as the Director of Finance. She loved her East Tennessee mountain views, the Green Bay Packers, dancing, laughing, traveling, cooking, sunshine, and her friends in Florida. Her deepest joys came from spending time with family and friends, hosting gatherings, and carrying on yearly traditions. Kathy was giving of her time, knowledge, love, and energy. She was a vibrant, active woman who welcomed all with open arms, and she was a friend/Grammy to many. Kathy leaves behind her children, Bob and Christie Michael, Hollie and Tedi Cvitkovic, Henry Michael and Rhiannon Wine; her grandchildren, Natalia, Anthony, Jonathan, Tatianna, Alivia, and Jordyn. She was the glue of her family, and she lived a full life. In her own words, "It was a great party, journey well." The Family will receive friends from 1:00 until 3:00 PM, Sunday, December 17, 2023 at Smith Trinity Chapel. The Memorial Service will follow at 3:00 PM with Father Joe Austin officiating.
