December 11, 1945 — February 27, 2024

Maryville

Kathleen Ann Lane of Maryville, 78, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, February 27, 2024.  She was a member of Praise Lutheran Church and a 25-year cancer survivor.  Kathleen is survived by her husband of 54 years, Thomas Lane, daughter Ellen King (Chris), son Eric Lane (Acamea), and brother Edward McDargh.  She graduated from Miami University in 1968 with a Bachelor of Arts in Physical Education.  While teaching junior high physical education, she also completed a Master of Arts in Ancient Sport History from Ohio State University in 1972.  After her children were born, she dedicated her life to being a full-time wife and mother.  Kathleen was a faithful church volunteer, including stints teaching Sunday school, playing the piano, serving on a mission trip to Russia, and always helping wherever needed.  She served as a small group discussion leader in Bible Study Fellowship for seven years and volunteered for fifteen years as a narrator for Care Ministries, Inc., in Starkville, MS, reading books on tape for the glory of Jesus Christ as a service for the blind and physically disabled.  There will be a memorial service at Praise Lutheran Church on Thursday, March 7th, at 7:00 PM.  Kathleen had a heart for the messianic Jewish movement.  In lieu of flowers, please consider donations to Zola Levitt Ministries or Jews for Jesus.
