K. Wayne Brewer

K. Wayne Brewer, 75, passed away the morning of Thursday, September 14, 2017 at Blount Memorial Hospital. He was the son of Joe & Esaleeta Brewer. Wayne worked 34 years at ALCOA before retiring and was a graduate of Lanier High School. He served as an Elder at Mt. View Church of Christ. Preceded in death by: Parents, Joe & Esaleeta Brewer; Mother-in-law, Violet Hall; Sister-in-law, Patsy Hall. Leaves behind to cherish his memory: Wife, Betty Brewer; Daughter & Son-in-law, Sherry & Stanley Crisp; Son & Daughter-in-law, Joel & Lori Brewer; Grandsons, Billy, Caleb, & Eli Brewer; Furry Buddy, Louis; Brother & Sister-in-law, Richard & Mary Brewer of Virginia; Sisters & Brother-in-law, Joann Long of Virginia, Rose & Ronnie Swicegood of Maryville; Nieces, Rosanne & Dave Pierce & children Abby & Andrew all of Maryville, Rhandi Dodson & children Chloe, Savannah, & Ethan all of Texas; Nephews, Ron Swicegood, Ricky & Debbie Swicegood & son Colton of Maryville; Special Cousins, Phyllis Kagley, Karen Walker; Uncle, Ernie & Jean Blevins. Special thanks to his doctors: Dr. Sundaran, Dr. Sommerville, Dr. Gardner and all Wayne’s doctors and nurses at Blount Memorial Hospital, all his dear friends at Mt. View Church of Christ, his golfing buddies and ALCOA friends, dear friend Jimmy Kirby. Pallbearers will be Stanley Crisp, Billy Brewer, Caleb Brewer, Ron Swicegood, Ricky Swicegood, and Eli Brewer. Family will receive friends from 5:00 until 7:00 PM, Saturday, September 16, 2017 at Smith West Chapel. Funeral service will be at 7:00 PM with Pastor Jonathan Westerfield officiating. Family and friends will assemble for interment at 3:00 PM, Sunday, September 17, 2017 at Mt. View Church of Christ Cemetery.
