June Stillwell Puckett

June Stillwell Puckett, age 86, of Maryville, passed away Saturday, September 19, 2009 at Asbury Place. She was a member of Middlesettlements United Methodist Church. She was a former member and sang in the choir at First United Methodist Church, Maryville. She was also a past member of Peck’s Memorial Church, where she was active in children’s music. June was born in Cushing, Oklahoma, but has lived in Maryville, TN for the past 57 years. June was an excellent cook and with her husband Taz was the owner and operator of Puckett Family Poultry Farm. She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, and five sisters. Survived by: loving and devoted husband of sixty-two years, Taz; son and daughter-in-law, Joel and Kathy Puckett; son, Randy Puckett; grandchildren, Dr. Heather Lollar and husband Robby, and Andrea Brewer and husband Mike; great grandchildren, Joshua and Gracie; sister and brother-in-law, Bernice Carter and husband Hayes of Cushing, OK; several nieces and nephews; special canine friend, Violette. Family and friends will assemble at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, September 22, 2009 at Sherwood Memorial Gardens for a graveside service and interment with Rev. Joe Black and Rev. Rex Rogers officiating.
