LaVan, June A. age 75 of Townsend passed away Sunday, August 13, 2006 at Blount Memorial Hospital. Preceded in death by: Parents, Studie & Rebecca Myers; Sister, Selma Schiedler; Sons, Steve Thornton and Gary Thornton. Survivors include: Loving companion of 27 years, David Mackie; Son, Michael Cave of Wears Valley, TN; Daughter, Rochelle (Rocky) Kelly of Los Angeles, CA; Daughter-in-law, Joanie Thornton; Grandchildren, Taylor, Lacy & Erin Thornton of Hysperia, CA; Special Great-Grandson, Noah Thornton; Brothers and Sisters-in-law, Charles & Joyce Myers of Norfolk, VA and J.D. & Mary Myers of Maryville; Sister & Brother-in-law, Barbara & Dutch Van Beers of El Cajon, CA; many nieces, nephews, and cousins; many, many special friends and acquaintances. Everyone she ever knew and met loved and respected her greatly. Memorial service will be at 8:00 PM, Wednesday, August 16, 2006 in the Trinity Chapel of Smith Mortuary.
