June Fuller, 92 and lifelong resident of the Maryville area, was surrounded by loved ones when she passed on September 29, 2017. She had been in a nursing facility for several years and more recently in the Evan’s nursing home in Greenback. She attended Bassell Elementary School and Alcoa High School. June was a member of Calvary Baptist Church her entire life and particularly enjoyed her Joy Sunday school class. In her younger days she was active in sports, excelling in softball and bowling. She was an avid reader and lover of animals. Her real passion though was shopping. June, “Nanny”, graciously raised three generations of children and countless cats. June was a very humble lady and loved by everyone who knew her. Preceded in death by: Parents; Brothers, Jack & Tommy Riden; Beloved Twin Sister, Joyce Blackburn; Son, Steve Fuller; Daughter, Kim Giles; Granddaughters, Mickey Fuller; Ex-Husband, William A. Fuller. Survivors include: Son-in-law, James Giles & wife Dorothy; Granddaughter, Wendy Singletary; Grandson, Kelby Giles & wife Staci of St. Louis; Great-Grandchildren, Brett & Molly Fuller, Gracie & Gentry Giles, Jaxson & Kymber Singletary; Niece, Jo McConnell & husband Pete of Pendleton, SC; Nephew, Kent Woods & wife Beth of Atlanta, GA; Cousin, Jerry Lynn Myers; and Lifelong Friend, Mildred Hale. “…to be absent from the body and to be at home with the Lord.” Family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:00 PM, Friday, October 6, 2017 at Smith Trinity Chapel.
