Joyce D. Ridge

Joyce Darlene Ridge, age 67 of Maryville, passed peacefully into the arms of Jesus on Saturday, May 20, 2023. Joyce was a great friend to so many. She loved playing the guitar with the choir at Salem Baptist Church where she was a member. She loved her special time on Saturdays when she would always go out to eat with her long-time friends, Tonya Bunch, Betsy, and her “adopted” grandsons, Chaz and Jacob Farmer. There is her very special 4 legged friend, Max, whom she adored. Joyce retired from Sysco Foods. Preceded in death by her parents, Arthur and Bernice McClanahan Ridge; stepmother, Zetta Ridge; brothers, Brent, Harold, and Owen Ridge. Survived by her sister, Jean Kagley; sister-in-law, Vickie (Owen) Ridge, Genevea (Brent) Ridge; several nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105. Family will receive friends from 5:00 until 7:00 PM Friday, May 26, 2023 at Smith Trinity Chapel. The Funeral Service will follow at 7:00 PM with Pastors Jeff Pike, Toby Downey, and Chaz Farmer officiating.
