Joy Best Worth, 72, died Monday, March 10, 2014, at Blount Memorial Hospital. She is survived by her loving husband, John T. Worth of Maryville; children and their spouses, Jennifer and Rob Spirko, of Maryville, and John Worth III and Hanako Kobayashi, of Nashville; grandchildren, Joe Worth, of Nashville, and Hannah and Zeke Spirko, of Maryville; sister, Mary Jo Chambers, of Hendersonville; sister-in-law and husband, Jackie and Ed Hines of Rockford; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. A graduate of Greenback High School and the University of Tennessee School of Nursing, Joy was a hardworking nurse at Blount Memorial for many years, and will be remembered with love and honor by her many patients and friends. She was devoted to her family and a constant source of support, love and goodwill to all who knew her. Funeral service will be at 7:00 PM, Wednesday, March 12, 2014 at Smith West Chapel with Rev. Laura Bogle officiating. Family and friends will assemble for entombment at 1:00 PM, Thursday, March 13, 2014 at Grandview Mausoleum Chapel.
